Club Meetings, 2026

Please note that our monthly meetings in the scout hut are on Monday nights, except where they are Bank Holidays, when they move to the Tuesday.

As well as the face-to-face meetings, the club continues to run weekly online meetings via Zoom on a Monday evening. For security reasons, we can't include the meeting link here; it is being sent via email to club members, but for non-members who wish to visit us, please contact a committee member for how to attend.

All weekday Club Night meetings are held from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at the Scout Hut, St John's. An £8 guest fee per meeting applies to all non-members (except for the Christmas Social); this is waived for your first ever meeting, and refunded if you join the club the same evening. All-day demos are usually 11am to 5pm with a £10 guest fee and a £5 charge for members too, but please phone or email before travelling to make sure. Daytime social meetings are from 11am to 2pm, again in the Scout Hut.

The weekly on-line meetings use the Zoom platform - this is an easy-to-use video conferencing tool that works even if you don't have a web camera or a microphone; you can still see and hear what is going on even if we can't see or hear you. Don't be scared of the technology - the committee are here to help you get the most out of your club, so please call us if you'd like to attend but don't have a clue what to do.

Open Workshops, 2026

This is where members invite others in the club to come and visit their workshop for a turning-oriented social event. Please be aware that these events are for club members (and their families, where indicated) only, and not for the general public. Addresses and times will be notified at the club meeting prior to each event.

No Open Workshop dates are available yet. Please come back later.
